Achilles tendon ( RID3184 ), accessory soleus
There is a chronic complete distal Achilles rupture with >8cm retraction. Fluid signal fills the empty Achilles peritenon. There is an intact accessory soleus, anteromedial to the torn Achilles and superficial to the flexor retinaculum, where it is supposed to be. I wonder if it has preserved some function. [ Article ]
