Fibrous dysplasia ( RID3738 ) spine
Leet Al et al (2004) - Most lesions were located in the lumbar spine (32/75) and the thoracic spine (27/75), with less frequent involvement in the sacrum (10/75) and cervical spine (6/75). Monostotic fibrous dysplasia of the spine is a rare entity.
Osteoblastoma originates in the neural arch and often extends into the vertebral body. Mineralisation, expansile bone remodelling, sclerosis or a thin osseous shell around its margin
mineralisation within an osteoblastoma may have radiological appearance (rings and arcs) of a chondroid matrix.
