Cotton osteotomy for flat foot
Showing this case for the Cotton osteotomy also known as a medial cuneiform plantarflexory opening wedge osteotomy. Used to treat flat foot associated with tibialis posterior dysfunction. Apparent cystic change in the case was felt to be due to marked disuse osteoporosis as well as cystic healing change. The osteotomy is 2 years old, she has major problems elsewhere in the foot from multiple surgeries that are probably accounting for her clinical presentation. [ Article ]
