medial cuneiform ( RID2978 )
There is 3rd MT stress fracture. I was confused in the long axis images by abnormal signal in the medial cuneiform (as I was looking at the intact Lisfranc). Short axis and Sag images show a bipartite Med cuneiform with irregular narrowing of the intervening cleft and small surrounding cystlike change. In the reference they refer to this as degenerative change, but it looks very much like a non-osseous coalition of the bipartite cuneiform to me. This is incidental, but more interesting than the stress fracture as it is a rare variant in 0.3%. [ Article ]
