plantaris muscle ( RID2923 )
This is a reminiscent of though different from case #1859. There is mild patchy Kager fat pad edema (white arrow) but it seems to be related to the plantaris tendon (red arrow) which I cannot trace to its distal insertion. There seems to be scarring near the stump of the plantaris, which is medial, rather than lateral (as we see with crura fascia and/or FTC ligament tear. Just another possible cause of Kager fat pad edema...which is likely incidental in this case. And the Achilles in normal.
