Chronic ACL Tear ( RID2781 )
Chronic ACL tear diagnosis can be difficult. The ACL in this case is scarred. Also there is an empty lateral wall of the intercondylar notch on the axial which is a sign of an ACL tear. There is forward translation of the tibia and kinking of the PCL indicating ACL laxity. Note the irregularity of the capsular attachments to the medial meniscus peripherally. I think she probably had a capsular insertion tear (sometimes called a meniscocapsular separation).
