Strain transverse head of adductor hallucis muscle ( RID3178 )
Unusual case of metatarsalgia. No fracture. Long axis image suggests a strain of the tansverse head of Add Hall, but muscle injury is barely visible in Sag and Cor short axis. This is primarily a myofascial straing with post-traumatic intermuscular fluid tracking between the 3rd layer (Add Hall), 2nd layer (FDL) and 1st layer (FDB) muscles and tendons at the plantar forefoot.
