Refer to the article (email attachment), which demonstrates that the footprint of the supraspinatus tendon is smaller than weve been taught. Though I reported this tear as being at the confluence of the posterior supraspinatus and anterior infraspinatus insertion, I think it is primarily a tear at the anterior insertion of the infraspinatus tendon. This is most clearly demonstrated in the biceps labral oblique sequence, which is in plane with the infraspinatus tendon from the MT junction to insertion. This is also supported by the more centrally located anterior infraspinatus peritendinous ganglion seen in the Sagittal images.
