os peroneus fracture The clinician suspected fracture of either the base of 5th MT or cuboid vs. an insertional tear of the peroneus brevis. Ive found that peroneus longus pathology (tendinosis, tenosynovitis, or os peroneus fracture) is rarely suspected clinically, although the cuboid peroneal groove is centered in the area of interest. Occasionally, lateral band insertional plantar fasciitis can cause symptoms in this region. Insertion of P brevis and Lat Band Pl Fascia are indicated in the 3rd slide. [ Article ]
