posterior cruciate ligament ( RID2784 )
PCL tears rarely have a focal fluid signal defect, but typically appear thickened and frayed with increased intrasubstance signal. Despite the presence of a fluid defect in this case, I almost missed it. Ive noticed that the meniscofemoral ligaments fall into the defect, and that is what made me realize the PCL is torn. Anyone have cases they want to share? I think its a good sign. Oh, and theres a peripherally displaced meniscal flap tear with subtle remodeling of the tibial cortex. [ Article ]
