Discussion

67 y/o with congenital scoilosis presents with pain. In this case there are 2 pedicles on the left side and a single pedicle on the other producing a wedge shaped vertebral body that is a combination of L4 and L5. Is this unilateral failure of segmentaion or unilateral failure of formation or are they the same?
