Discussion

There seems to be a defect in the midline and lateral paracentral volar plate of the MCP joint. The sesamoid-phalangeal and intersesamoid ligaments appear intact. There is edema interposed between the volar aspect of the proximal phalanx and FPL extending superficial to the FPL, I believe related to flexor pulley injury. It seems there is low grade sprain of the A1 pulley. I suspect at least partial tear of the A v and A o pulley, but have recommended ultrasound for better visualization. What do you think? The reference is quite nice. Reference article.
