Discussion

The final slide shows high grade degenerative cartilage loss at the medial compartment and focal high grade cartilage loss at the wgt bearing surface of the LFC. LA can be primary, but is often secondary to degenerative or inflammatory arthritis. Its unusual that I have such detailed clinical history. The fact that she reports chronic, intermittent pain and swelling since adolescence makes me wonder if the DJD is secondary to the lipoma arborescens, rather than the other way around.
