Discussion

CT arthrography can be quite good at diagnosing and characterizing shoulder disorders. The supraspinatus tear is pretty straight forward. The tear extends posteriorly to involve the anterior infraspinatus. One key to making to biceps tear diagnosis is recognizing the empty tendon sheath at the groove (at least empty of tendon).
