Discussion

I am posting this to start a conversation. I am surprised that hip labral surgery was performed in a 76 yo. I am concerned that we as radiologists contribute to problems like this in the wording of our reports; everyone has hip labral tear. Should we add modifiers to the report to indicate that degenerative labral tear is common in this age group? Post-op hip labral MRI is difficult. It seems the anchor is distant from the tear and now the tear is larger. 1st 3 slides are 4 mos post op; 4th and 5th are pre-op.

Diagnosis

acetabular labrum ( RID2644 )
