Discussion

Plain X ray shows severe radioscaphoid arthrosis (bone on bone) and mild scapholunate diastasis indicating instability. Patient had extirpation of scaphoid and fusion of the lunate, capitate, triquetrum and hamate (4 corners fusion). No hardware abnormalities or non fusion identified.
S-L instability with R-S arthrosis is an indication for fusion.

Diagnosis

surgical carpal fusion ( RID2240 )
