Discussion

I am curious about this accessory band of the ITB which arises from the deep surface of the ITB and inserts onto the cranial margin of the lateral meniscus at the AH/body junction. Has anyone ever seen this? There is degenerative tearing and intrasubstance cystic expansion of the AH/Body of the lateral meniscus, and degenerative cartilage thinning of the lateral compartment. I dont know if this is contributing at all to the continued lateral knee pain.
